With the closing of the registration window, we can announce a number of additions as we look to bolster our squad for the remainder of the season.
We are delighted to announce that academy quartet Spencer Booth, Joe Taylor, Marley Spence and Zac Rushworth have all signed first team forms.
Goalkeeper Spencer Booth has been working alongside Joe Cracknell and Danny King all season both at training and on a matchday.
Centre back Joe Taylor has been a regular starter for the Young Lions this season and already has experience of men’s football, having signed a dual registration deal with Nostell Miners Welfare, earlier this campaign.
Marley Spence, who can play both in midfield and at full back, has struck three goals for the academy in what has been an impressive campaign for the ball winning Young Lion.
16 year old versatile player Zac Rushworth has also had an impressive first season playing in a variety of positions. Whilst moving to striker he has scored in three games on the bounce against Farsley Celtic, Boston United and York City, hitting five goals this season so far.
A new addition to the team is Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jack Dallimore. Jack has signed a loan deal until the end of the season having worked his way through the ranks at Bolton.
Jack featured for Bolton’s U18s and signed his first professional deal in June last year to progress to their ‘B Team’.
Dallimore also represented his country having played for Scotland U18s in 2023 and earlier this season was named as a substitute for Bolton’s first team in their Emirates FA Cup first round tie with Walsall.
The final piece of business of the season is the arrival of Peterborough Sports forward Nathaniel Muenda on a dual registration basis.
Muenda came through the ranks at Shrewsbury before joining Peterborough Sports in February, he has made five appearances for the club after a trial spell with Barnsley.
We can also confirm that Joe Ackroyd has returned from his loan spell at Warrington Town.
Ackroyd started all five of Town’s games during his one month stay with the club.
All of our new signings and Joe Ackroyd are available for selection in tomorrow’s clash with Matlock Town at Nethermoor Park.
