Sports Therapist Vacancy

Guiseley AFC are looking to recruit a first team sports therapist/physiotherapist for the 2023/24 season onwards.

The role has a start date of late June 2023, although there is potential to work alongside our current therapist for the remainder of this season should the right candidate be appointed within the time frame. The role requires cover of training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7:30pm-9:30pm) in Bradford and match days, home and away – home is Nethermoor Park LS20, away is as our fixtures dictate. Matches are typically held on a Saturday with some Tuesday evening. This role could comfortably set alongside other work or study but the successful candidate must be available at the times outlined above.

In line with the FA’s new medical regulations, commencing summer 2023, the candidate “must hold or be working towards the Emergency Medical First aid in Football (EMFAiF) and is also required to be a Qualified Medical Practitioner which means a graduate health care professional e.g., a doctor, physiotherapist, paramedic, nurse, sport therapist or sports rehabilitator, who is currently practising, having the appropriate valid medical insurance, and being registered with a recognised professional body.”

In the future, there is also potential for the candidate to work alongside our Academy (16 – 19 year old) and Centre of Excellence (U11 – U16), however this role is separate and the inability to work with the youth set ups would not affect an individual’s suitability for the first team role.

We would ask prospective candidates to apply as soon as possible, as we will be undertaking rolling interviews and trials in an attempt to appoint prior to the end of the season.

To apply please send your CV and a cover letter/short statement to james.pickles@guiseleyafc.co.uk
