We can confirm Vanarama National League North side Spennymoor Town will visit Nethermoor for a pre-season friendly.

The game will be played on Saturday 22nd July with kick-off at 3pm, ticket details will be confirmed in due course.

The Moors finished 9th in non league’s second tier last season, just missing out on a play off place on goal difference.

Former Lions John Lufudu, Reece Kendall, Lebrun Mbeka and Jake Day could all feature for the visitors.

The last time Spennymoor made the trip to LS20 Kaine Felix struck the only goal to secure a priceless 1-0 win that took our fight for survival down to the final day of the 2021/22 campaign.

It is our sixth confirmed friendly with fellow National League North sides Curzon Ashton, Scarborough and Farsley Celtic all visiting Nethermoor in July. There are also trips to Avro and Brighouse Town in the fixture list.
