Six-a-side charity tournament confirmed

We are delighted to confirm that our annual six-a-side charity tournament, in conjunction with Guiseley and District Lions, will be held on Sunday 17th May.

The tournament will be held for a third year running, with all funds split between local charity LS29 and the Guiseley AFC Community Foundation.

Held at our 3G all-weather community pitch (LS20 8BT), registration will be from 9.30am with the first matches starting at 9 45a.m.

The cost to enter a team is £5 per player with a minimum of £30 – a £10 deposit is payable with your entry. Full details are available here in our application form.

Up to 12 teams can participate on the day and each team can have from six to eight players. The minimum age of players is 16 years. The event is open to teams of amateur status only. No professional or semi-professional teams can take part.

Each team will be guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 games in the first round on a league basis, with 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. The winning team will then receive the trophy and medals; there will also be medals and prizes for the runners-up and top goal scorer.

Spectators are very welcome and there is a play area for children. Refreshments will be available all day.
