Shields Have No Defence Against Rampant Lions

Guiseley rounded off their pre-season campaign with a resounding victory against a South Shields who just lost out to Farsley on promotion to the National League North and then suffered play-off heartbreak losing to Warrington Town.

The Lions took ten minutes to get going ut once they hit their  stride all the work that has gone into the pre-season paid off handsomely as put six past a Shields side who simply couldn’t match the home sides one touch football and work rate that only disapated during the final fifteen minutes.

This after Gabrel Johnson had helped himself to four goals and Aram Soleman had bagged a brace to seal a perfect end to the Lions  preparations for the new season which kicks off next Saturday at Nethermoor where league newcomers Kings Lynn Town are the visitors (ko 3pm).

Meanwhile a Young Lions side fell to a 4-0 defeat at Hyde’s Ewen Fields too with former Lion Joel Logan on the scoresheet twice for the hosts.
