North Ferriby United visit Nethermoor Park on Saturday as the Lions look to continue their good form.

Following two late goals in the last two home fixtures Adam Lockwood’s chargers ran out 2-1 winners at Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

The home unbeaten run stretches to 10 matches now with no defeats since September in LS20.

North Ferriby United have lost their last four matches including Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat to Lincoln City.

However the Villagers’ two wins in 2017 have both come on the road including a 4-2 victory at Southport last month.

Adam Lockwood was delighted with his sides performance on Saturday “At times I thought we were outstanding.”

“Any three points are good in this league, it’s a tough league and Dagenham are a good side.”

“There was a hell of a shift out there, their lads made us work very hard, our lads certainly did that and stepped up to the mark.”

He also highlighted the importance of the squad and Jordan Preston proved that on Saturday with a great performance and two goals “I have been beating on about it being a squad game, I spoke to all the lads in there.”

“It’s hard sometimes when lads aren’t playing for them believe that you will give them chances.”

“I would like to mention Jordan Preston, he’s got bags of ability and loads to learn in the game. He’s proven what he adds to the squad, he could have had a few more.”

The Daggers’ Corey Whitely saw red after just 12 minutes and the boss thought his side coped well with that “We were good in handling the sending off, sometimes it is a difficult thing when a team goes down to 10 men and you’ve been so dominant in the first period.”

He also feels his players are revelling in the battles they are facing “They’re thriving on it, you can see it by looking in their eyes, they’re enjoying the challenges.”

“It’s great to be the manager of a group of lads like that.”

“We’re just enjoying the football at the minute.”

John Rooney has enjoyed two wins in his first two games and hopes the winning run can continue, particularly at Nethermoor “I know the team is on good form, we’ve got to keep that going.”

“We’re unbeaten here in 10 games now, we need to continue making this a tough place to come.”

When asked about the aims for the season our number 10 said “Staying up, that’s the main aim, we need to keep winning games and keep picking up points to take us away from the relegation zone.”
