Facing their second Championship side in three days a revitalised Guiseley ran near neighbours Leeds United close but eventually lost out in a seven-goal thriller in front of a sellout crowd of 3400.

Assistant Manager Paul Clayton gave the Lions the best possible start with an early goal and the home side doubled their lead through Reece Thompson’s smart finish before Mateusz Klich halved the deficit as they went into the break.

Jack Clark levelled the scores on the resumption and Ryan Edmundson then bagged a brace to put Leeds 4-2 ahead.
