We are pleased to announce the re-signing of Leeds United’s young midfielder Alex Purver for a loan period until 29th April.

In his previous spell with Guiseley, which ran from August to Boxing Day, the 21 year-old made 21 appearances, including 19 starts, and scored two goals.

With his all action style he made a big impact and quickly became a fans’ favourite.

Purver, who can also play at right-back, has yet to make a senior appearance for Leeds, but he played in 33 games for their under-21 team last season.

He signed a new one-year deal with the Championship club in June 2016.

Also joining the club is right back Michael Taylor on loan from Leeds United. 

The 19 year-old defender captained United’s U18 side last season and signed a one year professional contract in the summer.

Taylor describes himself as “A mix of an old-fashioned full-back who likes to get stuck in, with a modern twist of getting forward.

“I do like to get forward when I can and attack down the right.”
