Taylor Bowen joined the club on 7th July 2025 from Blackpool.
Middlesbrough-born striker Bowen was spotted by Sporting Director Russ O’Neill as the youngster looked to bounce back from an injury setback with a series of loan moves from parent club Blackpool.
Bowen started playing junior football at the age of eight and aged 12 was approached by both Middlesbrough and Sunderland.
He opted for ‘Boro his home town club and played for them until the age of 16 when he was disappointingly released.
He then took a few months out of football to collect his thoughts. He was offered a trial by Blackpool and did well enough to earn a three year deal with them.
In his first two years he played for the Under-18s and in the third was hoping to establish himself in the Under-21s.
However, fate dealt him a severe blow and he was out of the game for 11 months with a Grade 4 hamstring injury.
He had loan spells at Runcorn, Warrington, Bamber Bridge and Leek Town and described that time as “a good experience which 100 per cent helped me mature both as a footballer and in a personal sense”.
Outside of playing Bowen is hoping to continue gaining coaching qualifications having done his UEFA C licence whilst at Blackpool.
On 16th October 2025 Bowen left the club to seek an opportunity abroad, Taylor made 13 appearances for the club scoring one goal.
