On 25th March 2022 Scott signed for The Lions on loan from Barrow for a month which was then extneded until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Scott started his career with Hartlepool United before joining Bury in 2017.
Following the demise of The Shakers Moloney moved up north again to play for Barrow after a loan spell with Skelmersdale United.
Standing at 6ft 3in tall the goalkeeper has played two times for The Bluebirds in the EFL Trophy during the 2021/22 season having made his senior debut in August 2021.
On his second Barrow appearance he came on as an outfield player against Fleetwood for a few minutes in injury time.
Moloney linked up with South Shields during the 2021/22 campaign for a one month loan deal and he kept a clean sheet on his debut against Radcliffe in a 2-0 victory.
On 13th May 2022 it was confirmed that Scott Moloney had left the club at the end of his loan deal following the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign.
Scott provided strong competition to Owen Mason in the season run-in and appeared on the bench eight times.
On 8th July 2022 it was announced that Moloney had returned to Nethermoor for his second loan spell until 2nd January 2023.
On signing for the second time Scott said “I came to Guiseley at the back end of last season and was desperate to help them in the fight against relegation but I did not get to play a part. I am hoping to challenge for a first team place this time as I would like to help get them back up into National League North. I want to play a real part.”
On 27th August 2022 it was confirmed that Barrow had recalled Scott from his loan.
