Sam signed for the Lions on 31st October 2025 on an initial one month loan from Sheffield United.

Sam is a talented midfielder who has worked his way though the ranks at Bramall Lane to play for the Blades’ U21 side.

Aston has struck one goal this season for the U21s and played a key role in them winning the national title in the 2023/24 season scoring in both the semi-final and final as they lifted silverware for the first time since the competition began in the 2012/13 campaign.

He signed his first professional contract in June 2024 before signing an extension in April 2025.
