Owen joined The Lions on 11th December 2021 and made his debut at Brackley Town that afternoon.

Mason is in his second year with The Stags’ U18’s side having also played for Notts County, Eastwood CFC and Nottingham City Boys.

Owen has also represented Ireland at U18 level.

He kept his first clean sheet in a trip to AFC Telford United in just his second game before making his home debut against Bradford (Park Avenue) on 28th December 2021.

It was announced on 14th January 2022 that after making five appearances and keeping two clean sheets Mason’s loan move from Mansfield Town was extended for a further month.

Owen had made 10 appearances keeping four clean sheets when it was announced his loan from Mansfield Town had been extended by a further month on 11th February 2022. On 12th March 2022 it was then announced that Mason’s loan had been extended until the end of the 2021/22 season.

On 13th May 2022 it was confirmed that Owen had returned to his parent club at the end of his loan deal following the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign.

Owen made 28 appearances since his arrival in December.
