Ollie joined the club on 26th August 2023 and made his Lions debut that afternoon at Lancaster City.

The shot stopper who came through Grimsby Town’s youth setup and also spent time with Sheffield United during the 2016/17 campaign.

Whilst with the Mariners Ollie gained plenty of experience out on loan with Gateshead, Hereford, Ilkeston Town, Belper Town, Mickleover Sports and Lincoln United.

Battersby left Grimsby in May 2023 after 13 years with the club.

On 5th July 2024 it was announced that Ollie had rejected the offer of a new contract with the club and signed for Gainsborough Trinity, Battersby made 41 appearances in the 2023/24 season.
