Lewis signed first team forms on 3rd October 2020 after impressing Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill in training.
Hey featured on the bench that afternoon in the Emirates FA Cup win over Atherton Collieries.
Central midfielder Lewis comes from Bradford and is following in the footsteps of his dad Nicky in becoming a Guiseley player.
After a frustrating first season with the Academy following a broken arm and ankle ligament damage Lewis has came back strongly. He is a ball playing centre-midfielder with a great weight of pass.
Lewis made his senior debut on 27th October 2020 in a 1-1 draw at Boston United as a second half substitute, he went on to score the equaliser a day later in Guiseley Academy’s FA Youth Cup tie at Bolton Wanderers before Ethan Hudson-Parker scored a winner at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Lewis made his first senior start on 28th November 2020 at AFC Telford United’s New Bucks Head Stadium.
After impressing during the 2020/21 season Lewis signed a new contract to remain with the club for the 2021/22 campaign on 29th March 2021.
Lewis struck his first senior goal in the 2-1 Emirates FA Cup fourth round qualifying replay win over Brackley Town to help send his side through to the first round and a trip to AFC Wimbledon’s Plough Lane stadium.
On 4th July 2022 it was confirmed that Lewis had signed a new and improved contract with the club.
The midfielder said that he was “excited to work with Danny Ellis at this level” and felt that he “owed the club something” and that Guiseley gave him “a good introduction to men’s football.”
On 30th September 2022 it was announced that Lewis had sealed a loan move to Tadcaster Albion until 29th October 2022, Lewis’ loan was later extended until 27th January 2023.
Lewis’ loan at Tadcaster Albion was then extended for a further month until 1st March 2023.
On 3rd March 2023 it was confirmed that Lewis was back with the club.
The winger played for England Universities in their North v South match in late February 2023.
The academy graduate was selected alongside five of his Leeds Beckett students to play in the game at St George’s Park.
At the end of the 2022/23 campaign Lewis left the club after making 14 Lions appearances.
