Keegan joined the club on 4th November 2022 and is a tenacious midfielder.

He played a key role in Barnsley’s U18s side as they secured a Professional Development League play off place in the 2021/22 campaign before being awarded a new contract at the end of the season.

Hartley has come through the age groups in Barnsley’s academy since 2015 and made his senior debut against Newcastle U21s this season in the Papa John’s Trophy before making a second appearance in the competition against Doncaster in October.

Hartley also played the second half in our friendly with a Barnsley X1 side at Nethermoor in pre-season.

On 6th January 2023 it was confirmed that Keegan had returned to Barnsley following the end of his loan move, the midfielder made five Lions appearances.
