George Sykes-Kenworthy joined the club on 26th July 2019 for an initial youth loan until 3rd September.

The Bantams’ ‘keeper played in a number of our pre-season games before the 19/20 campaign.

Sykes-Kenworthy had a loan spell with Stalybridge Celtic at the back end of last season as a sink or swim introduction to men’s football playing 11 games in 24 days for Celtic.

He signed his first professional deal with City in March 2018.

George’s loan ended on 3rd September 2019 and he returned back to Bradford City with Joint Manager Russ O’Neill saying “George had a real positive loan with us, however his loan agreement was that he could be called back at any point by Bradford if an injury occurred to their 1st choice goal keeper. Gary Bowyer at Bradford City was outstanding with us in his honesty about the situation and we thank Gary and George immensely”
