George joined the Lions on 17th October 2025 on an initial one month loan from Bradford City.

Goodman signed a professional deal with Bradford City in May 2025 after impressing during his scholarship with the League One club.

The 6ft 4ins tall defender has worked his way through City’s youth setup from the U9s and has featured in and around the first team for the past couple of seasons.

George was named on the bench for City’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Aldershot Town last season and the 18 year-old has represented Northern Ireland’s under-19s during the 2024 UEFA Under-19 Euros. He made three appearances in the U19 Euros last year.

He was called up to their U21s side for the U21 Euros Qualification double header against Malta and Germany.

Head of Academy at Bradford City, Tom Calvert, praised Goodman after he signed his pro deal saying “Throughout this time, George has shown that he is ambitious, talented and determined to be successful. We are all excited to see what he can achieve in the future.”

Goodman’s loan was extended for a further month on 18th November 2025 and later that week the defender scored his first Lions goal in a 4-2 win over Ashton United.

George’s loan was then extended again until the end of January 2026.
