After an impressive spell on trial, which included goals against Barnsley and Everton U23s, Donald signed a contract with The Lions on 22nd July 2022.

The Zambian likes to be known as ‘DC’ or ‘Don’ and played for Tadcaster Albion during the 2021/22 campaign.

The attacking midfielder came up through the York-based i2i Football Academy and was signed by Scarborough Athletic but injuries and Covid saw him fail to make an appearance for The Seadogs.

Of his trial at Guiseley he said: “I set out to make an impact by coming in and trying to do my best. I knew Guiseley coach Martin Foster from my time at Tadcaster and he recommended me to Guiseley.

On signing his deal Don said: “I have loved it since I came to Guiseley, it is a good environment to be in, the best place to enjoy your football.”

“My parents are buzzing about me getting settled and signing for a team. Outside of football I really want to do something in property like working for an estate agent.”

Summing up his role on the pitch he said: “I have played in many positions but feel I am best as an attacker. I am looking forward to getting up and running with Guiseley.”

On 4th November 2022 it was announced that after making three starts and ten substitute appearances Donald had left the club to sign for Marske United for an undisclosed fee.
