Aleks comes from Liepaja in Latvia.

His previous club was Frickley Athletic Under-19s.

He joined Guiseley in the summer of 2018 and hopes to progress to become a professional footballer.

His favourite player is Tom Cairney and his favourite team is Fulham.

Aleks signed first team forms on 26th January 2019 and took up a place on the bench in the 5-4 home defeat to Boston United on the same day.

He went on to make his first team debut in a trip to Curzon Ashton when he came on as a second half substitute on 26th March 2019.

Starcenko made a good impression throughout pre-season ahead of the 19/20 season scoring his first Lions goal away at Yorkshire Amateur.

Aleks joined Hyde United on loan on 1st November 2019 and scored his first senior goal whilst with The Tigers, the academy graduate returned to Nethermoor following the end of his loan move on 1st February 2020.
