The Lions take on league leaders Radcliffe this coming Saturday at Nethermoor, and Scott Kelly has compiled a list of players who have worn the shirts of both sides.
Anthony Dudley
Guiseley – 2015-16 (loan)
Radcliffe – 2023-present
Signed from Chester last summer, Dudley currently plays for Radcliffe but spent some time with the Lions during the 15-16 season. The 28-year-old scored 7 goals in a 16 game loan spell with the club after joining from Bury. Currently with 9 goals this season, forward Dudley is considered a huge threat when the sides meet this weekend.
Michael Fowler
Guiseley – 2019 (loan)
Radcliffe – 2018-19 (loan)
Just 17 at the time, Michael Fowler joined the Lions on loan from Fleetwood Town in March 2019 until the end of the season. He had joined Fleetwood earlier that season from Burnley’s academy. Fowler also enjoyed a loan spell with the Boro that same season and can now be seen banging in goals for Stockton Town, who sit top of the Northern Premier Division One East. Fowler has 15 league goals so far this season.
Courtney Meppen-Walters
Guiseley – 2022-24
Radcliffe -2021-22
Former Manchester City trainee Meppen-Walters joined Radcliffe in 2021 after spells in much of non-league and did even gain some EFL experience with Carlisle United earlier in his career. He joined the Lions last summer from the Boro after a successful loan spell at the club – but earlier this year the 29-year-old completed a permanent move to Nantwich Town.
Abimbola Obasoto
Guiseley – 2024
Radcliffe – 2023
Abimbola Obasoto joined the Lions in early 2024 following a short spell with the Boro and made his debut for the club in the New Year’s Day victory at Bradford Park Avenue. Obasoto left the club after just six weeks for an opportunity abroad, joining Swedish side Torns IF.
