We can confirm that young goalkeeper Fletcher Paley has joined Steeton AFC on loan until the end of the season.

Fletcher, who recently celebrated his 19th birthday, was a vital member of last season’s all conquering Academy side.

He has trained with the Guiseley first team squad from pre-season but has found game time difficult to achieve being behind Joe Green and Jon Worsnop in the pecking order.

With the arrival on loan of young Sheffield United ‘keeper Marcus Dewhurst Fletcher’s immediate opportunities with Guiseley have diminished and he will now play for Steeton in the North West Counties League.

The Otley lad joined Guiseley’s Academy in 2016 having previously been with the youth set up at Leeds United and having played Rugby League for the Hunslet club.
