If you love football Guiseley AFC Academy, in conjunction with Guiseley Community Foundation, can offer sport, education and work experience opportunities.
Previous Academy students have variously gone to University degree courses, apprenticeships with the Foundation and have made it into the ranks of Premier League and Championship Clubs as players.
You would train every day with what is probably the UK’s best and most consistent Non-League Academy
There will be regular weekly fixtures in the National League U-19 Alliance or in the Colleges League.
There will be opportunities to progress to the Guiseley AFC first team and beyond, subject to your ability
Guiseley AFC Academy has been league winners or runners-up in each of the past four years and last season were divisional winners and runners-up in the league’s national play-offs as well as winners of the VAR Cup competition staged at St George’s Park.
You will be able to continue your education either by studying ‘A’ levels at Benton Park High School or BTEC Level 3 Sport at Shipley College.
Bespoke arrangements may be possible to suit individual candidates.
You will be able to gain football and multi-sport coaching work experience with Guiseley Community Foundation.
Sports Leaders and F A Coaching Courses and qualifications will also be available to suitable candidates.
Guiseley Community Foundation sees the Academy as a primary source of candidates who wish to pursue a career in football or multi-sport community coaching. They currently employ three former Academy graduates either as apprentices or as qualified UEFA ‘B’ coaches.
Their ever expanding activities mean that there can be a clear path via the Academy to this type of career.
