Oli Johnson departs

We can confirm that forward Oli Johnson has left the club and signed for Bradford Park Avenue.

The popular former Norwich City and York City player has unfortunately suffered a number of injuries that have kept him out of the game for long periods.

Johnson, who signed three years ago and made his debut against Solihull Moors in January 2014, started out at Nostell Miners Welfare.

He moved into the professional game with Stockport County playing 40 times for them before getting a move to Norwich City.

Johnson was with the Canaries when they gained promotion to the Premier League in 2011.

He then spent time out on loan at Yeovil Town before joining Oxford United in 2012. He moved on to York City, nearer his Wakefield home, in 2012-13 season playing just four games for the Minstermen before joining Guiseley.

Oli has made 84 appearances for the Lions scoring 17 goals.

He went out on loan to Bradford Park Avenue earlier in the season.

Oli will always be fondly remembered at Nethermoor and all at Guiseley AFC would like to wish him all the best for the future.
