Paul Cox has moved to add French defender Victor Nirennold to his squad prior to Saturday’s home game with Wrexham.
Nirennold, 26, has joined on loan from Fleetwood Town , the club he joined in August 2015, after moving to England from the United States.
The six-foot-four defender started his career in his homeland, France, in the youth system at Stade Rennais.
Whilst in France Nirennold was offered a deal in the United States where he would study Business at Erskine College, as well as play for the college’s side, the Erskine Flying Fleet.
The defensive minded player then transferred to Nova Southeastern University and played in their side, the Nova Southeastern Sharks.
At the start of the 2015 Season Nirennold signed for Premier Development side FC Miami City and made 15 appearances for them.
After a trial in August 2015 he signed a two-year deal with Fleetwood Town and made his debut for the Cod Army against Rochdale.
Victor will wear shirt number 42 and remain with the Lions until the end of the season.
As Nirennold arrives two Guiseley players go out on loan until the end of the season with striker Frank Mulhern joining Mark Bower’s Bradford Park Avenue and young defender Will Wells joining Farsley Celtic.
