Mbeka Is Back For Nethermoor Loan

We are delighted to welcome Lebrun Mbeka back to the club on loan from Boston United.

Mbeka has returned on loan until 2nd January 2023 after a switch to the Vanarama National League North Pilgrims in the summer.

Lebrun was a key player across the 2020/21 and 2021/22 campaigns at Nethermoor racking up 68 appearances across the two seasons with one being cut short due to Covid-19.

Mbeka, from Rotherham, started his career with Sheffield FC and played for Tadcaster Albion, who he joined in 2019 after rising through the ranks with firstly Ossett Albion and then the amalgamated Ossett club, United. Prior to that he had a dual registration with Goole and Parkgate.

The 26 year-old utility player occupied a number of positions during his previous spell with the club in defence, midfield and even up front at times and will prove a useful addition to Danny Ellis’ squad.

Popular with the fans the midfielder scored the winner against Brackley Town in an Emirates FA Cup replay last season to send his side into the first round for a trip to AFC Wimbledon.

Welcome back to Guiseley Lebrun!

Also re-joining the club is Kwame Boateng who signed during the 2018/19 campaign and had a spell on trial ahead of this season.

23 year-old Boateng has also played for Harrogate Town, Farsley Celtic, Ossett United, Albion Sports, Goole and TNS.

The full back has signed in time for tonight’s trip to Gainsborough Trinity and spent last season with Sheffield Wednesday after coming through Bradford City’s youth system.

Lebrun’s home, away and training kits are all available to sponsor.
