The Lions are looking to bounce back after Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat to Gateshead which was followed a day later by the departures of Paul Cox, Adam Murray and Ben Marvin.
The midweek fixture swiftly followed on from the 2-1 loss at Macclesfield on Saturday a game in which both sides wasted glorious opportunities to score more goals.
Maidenhead have had an inconsistent start to 2018 with just two wins out of their 9 games so far this calendar year.
Their last two fixtures have ended in defeat, a 3-2 loss at Stockport County in the Buildbase FA Trophy and Torquay were 2-1 victors at York Road last weekend.
Tom Feaheny spoke to Luke Coddington after the midweek loss to Gateshead “It was frustrating to be honest, we had most of the possession but they scored early on and had a game plan to keep the 1-0 win.”
“We haven’t scored many in the last few games, we need to look at keeping clean sheets and nicking games 1-0 to get us up the league. I think I have made two saves in the whole game.”
The on-loan shot stopper feels the Lions attack will be crucial to the hopes of survival and has enjoyed his temporary move so far “It is just turning that final third into a goal. I knew it would be a challenge to come here, I wanted to come in and challenge myself, I want to play games and better myself.”
Looking ahead to the final few weeks of the season Luke said “Back to back wins is definitely going to be the key in getting the momentum and belief back in the team. As soon as we win one that will give the team confidence that we can win games, keep clean sheets and score goals.”
Ticket upgrades to a Club Classic package are available until 12pm Monday.
