Lions’ Interim boss Adam Lockwood is looking for continued improvement after picking up the first point of the season on Saturday.
Woking come into the match on the back of a 3-1 defeat at Macclesfield on Saturday and sit just above the Lions in 22nd place.
“We’ve improved game by game, the next step is to continue that” said Lockwood after Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Braintree.
“If we maintain our standards and performance levels we will be alright.”
“There’s some great ability in the dressing room and they should be proud of the improvement they have made.”
Talking about Saturday’s opponents the Interim manager is hoping for the same attitude from his squad “It doesn’t matter who you play, if you don’t turn up on the day you don’t give yourself a good chance.”
“If we improve on other things in the game we will give ourselves a bigger chance”
New signing Simon Walton will be available for selection.
“I’m looking forward to it, just getting back into proper competitive football will be good again” said the midfielder.
“Anybody who was there on Saturday could see Guiseley deserved to win the game, it is a step in the right direction.”
“The standard of the National League gets better and better every year.”
“I’m just looking forward to getting started again.”
“I have done plenty to keep myself fit over the Summer, I have kept myself in good shape.”
“I’m really looking forward to it and hopefully we can start climbing that table.”
