The club can confirm that defender Adam Lockwood has agreed a deal to join League One side Oldham Athletic.
He will link up with former team-mate and current Oldham manager Lee Johnson and could go straight into their squad for the FA Cup tie with Liverpool this weekend.
When Adam signed at Nethermoor, he made it clear that he would have to consider leaving in January if a suitable offer from a Football League club came along and, as with all players, we will never stand in the way of those who wish to play at a higher level.
Manager Mark Bower said: “We put an offer to Adam which he seriously considered, as he expressed how much he had enjoyed his time with us.
“But, in the end, the prospect of League One football was an offer he couldn’t turn down.”
Club CEO Adrian Towers added: “Adam has been a model professional in his spell with the club.
“We wish him well with his immediate future and hope that he may yet don a Guiseley shirt again in the future.”
