Guiseley fell to two late goals in the space of five minutes as they drew at Colwyn Bay on Saturday.
The sending off of Craig Hobson for the Lions proved to be the turning point in the match, with the striker receiving two yellow cards in the second half, as Steve Kittrick’s men failed to cope with their numerical disadvantage.
Stand-in captain Danny Ellis had given his side the lead after 18 minutes before Hobson headed home his first goal for the club on the hour mark.
However, Hobson was then shown a second yellow card and the tide began to turn for the visitors.
Paul Ennis curled home a free-kick after 85 minutes before Cameron Darkwah struck in stoppage time to send Kittrick’s side home with only a point.
Kittrick, who was happy with his side’s showing, will look to see his charges bounce back on Monday when they host Workington at Nethermoor.
