Lions travel to Droylsden in FA Cup

The draw for the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round means that Guiseley will renew acquaintances with old foes Droylsden at the Butcher’s Arms on Saturday 27 September (KO 3.00 pm).

It’s been a couple of seasons since the sides clashed in the Conference North, when financial constraints at the Manchester-based club saw them relegated to the Northern Premier League in 2012-13.

The freefall continued last season as they won just three games out of 46, conceding 182 goals, which inevitably condemned them to a second successive relegation to the First Division North.

Thankfully, the decline seems to have been stemmed so far this season and the Bloods sit fourth in the table with 12 points from a possible 18, having lost just two of their six games to date.

The Supporters’ Club are running a coach to the game departing at 12:30 with the Maximum Price for Members £15 and for Non-members £17.

For the independent travellers, the Butcher’s Arms ground can be found at Market Street, Droylsden, Manchester, M43 7AW, Tel: 0161 370 1426 / 0161 301 1352 and admission is  £8.00 for Adults, £5.00 for Concessions (OAP, students, 16-18 year-olds) and £1.00 for Under-16s

The club’s website can be found at: http://www.droylsdenfc.com/
