We are delighted to announce that we have taken up an option in Lebrun Mbeka’s contract to retain the defender for the 2025/26 season.
Mbeka returned to Nethermoor for his third spell with the club ahead of the 2024/25 season from Spennymoor Town and went on to make 48 appearances.
The 28 year-old, who can also play in midfield, scored three goals last season and helped keep 19 clean sheets along the way.
The former Boston United man formed a solid partnership at the back with Jake Lawlor who has also been retained for the new season.
Mbeka started his career with Sheffield FC and played for Tadcaster Albion, who he joined in 2019 after rising through the ranks with firstly Ossett Albion and then the amalgamated Ossett club, United. Prior to that he had a dual registration with Goole and Parkgate.
The popular defender also won the Manger’s Player of the Season award at the End of Season Dinner last month.
Meanwhile we can also confirm that Prince Ekpolo, Jameel Ible and Adriano Moke have departed the club.
Ekpolo has chosen to join Bradford (Park Avenue) after making 135 appearances for the club across two spells, scoring five goals.

Adriano joined the club last summer and made 48 appearances scoring in the 1-1 draw away at Warrington Rylands. He has joined Albion Sports to play with his brother Fernando.
We would like to thank Prince, Jameel and Adriano for their efforts whilst with the club and wish them the best of luck for their future careers.
