Lions Support #NoHomeKit Campaign

We are proud to announce our support for Shelter’s #NoHomeKit campaign for our fixture at Farsley Celtic on Boxing Day.

The campaign has been created to raise awareness of homelessness across the country with teams wearing their away kits for their Boxing Day fixtures.

We will be supporting the campaign by sporting our yellow and black Macron Store Cardiff away kit at The Citadel for the first leg of the West Yorkshire Derby.

The Vanarama National League announced their support for the campaign last month and we were delighted to raise awareness of a growing, but often silent, problem in this country.

Osama Bhutta, director of campaigns at Shelter, said: “We’re thrilled that the National League is officially backing our No Home Kit campaign. Its 66 clubs in communities around the country join the growing line-up of teams, fans and personalities from across football who have already pledged their support. We hope their support encourages even more people to come on board to help us raise awareness of homelessness this Christmas.”

“Homelessness has risen dramatically over the last decade. Right now, 91 families in England are made homeless every single day – and sadly even more people could lose their homes with a challenging winter ahead of us.”

“Access to a safe and secure home means everything, it gives all of us the foundation for a better life – yet too many people don’t have one. I’ve been a football fan my entire life, and firmly believe that football is uniquely placed to help, given the importance of ‘home’ in the game.”

“Your clubs are at the heart of communities across the country and having your support for No Home Kit will enormously help to raise awareness of homelessness, and what we can all do to fight it.”
