Lions suffer double injury blow

The club can confirm defenders Danny Hall and Danny Lowe both suffered injuries at Farsley yesterday that will keep them out of action at the start of the season.

Hall sustained a broken fibula during the 0-0 draw and was withdrawn before the half-time break.

Having been taken to hospital and seen a consultant on Saturday, he will miss around three months of action.

Mark Bower will be without summer signing Lowe for around three weeks after the former FC Halifax Town man injured his groin at Throstle Nest.

As a result of the injuries, the club’s management team are looking into the possibility of bringing in short-term defensive cover.
