Guiseley secured a 2-1 win at Brighouse Town on Saturday that saw several trialists feature as manager Mark Bower sought to refine his first team squad for the Vanarama National League season.

After a bright start, the visitors went behind to a well-worked goal – Steve Hollingworth on target.

The second half was fairly even but a penalty from Nicky Boshell and a volley from trialist Joe Gaughan saw the Lions ensure victory ahead of the visit of Bradford City to Nethermoor on Tuesday.
