Guiseley get their FA Trophy campaign underway on Saturday with a home tie against Histon, as the Lions look to continue their strong recent form.
Mark Bower’s men have won four on the spin in all competitions, with their last outing seeing a 3-2 victory recorded away at Leamington. Danny Forrest, Danny Hall and Jack Rea the men on the score sheet as the Lions moved to 13th in the Skrill North.
After the match, manager Mark Bower looked ahead to the trophy, saying: “We’re looking forward to the FA Trophy. After being knocked out at the first hurdle in the FA Cup, there is a realistic chance of us going a long way in the competition.”
The Lions faced Histon recently in the Skrill North and drew 1-1 with Alex Johnson getting the goal for the home side.
The Stutes are a place ahead of Guiseley in the league table but have not won in their last three matches.
