Harvey Kirby-Moore’s clinical 26th minute header was enough to seperate the sides.
The home side also had two goals disallowed during an intriguing contest.
The game began scrappily with both sides failing to gain a foothold.
Kirby-Moore headed over despite being unmarked in the 15th minute.
Four minutes later the lively Amir Berchil thundered a threatening cross into the box but Guiseley’s attack was ruled out for offside.
Joao Silva then spurned a golden chance as he fired wide when one-on-one with Town goalkeeper Alfie Roberts.
The Robins’ Jamie Paul-Walker saw his shot fall agonisingly wide in the 23rd minute.
Kirby-Moore’s goal was the rebound to Daniel Odunaiya’s ferocious strike off the post.
Samuel Parker’s strong 33rd minute header was saved well by an alert Joe Cracknell.
Harrison Hopper’s 39th minute free-kick took a wicked deflection off Shunkpa Abudu but the ball fell straight into Roberts’ arms.
Berchil’s dangerous shot was cleared away on the brink of half-time.
A superb challenge by Calum Hudson denied Odunaiya in the 47th minute.
Odunaiya headed into an empty net in the 56th minute but his goal was disallowed for a push.
For the second time in two games Ian Richards made a treble substiution.
Joe Cracknell pushed Kirby-Moore’s testing free-kick away in the 66th minute.
Lebrun Mbeka’s header flew wide six minutes later.
The deft Dylan Youmbi hit wide following a piercing 73rd minute Town attack.
Paul-Walker thought he’d doubled the Robins’ tally a minute later but his 74th minute goal was ruled out for a foul on Cracknell.
Parker’s 80th minute close-range header looped over as Town pressed hard.
Substitute Kyle White’s dazzling cross fizzed across the Town goal in the 82nd minute.
Referee Matthew Jackson awarded seven minutes additional time following a stop-start half.
Robins replacement L’varn Brandy shook the bar with a vicious 91st minute effort.
Elliot Owen headed over three minutes later as Guiseley battled to get something from the game but eventually suffered defeat.
The defeat sees the Lions move down to 12th in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division.
