Lions Local Heroes – Rob Gray

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed everything for everyone, Lions photographer Rob Gray has had a change of day job too and he is our fifth Lions Local Hero.

We all know someone who at this moment of time is quietly going about their business, but what they are doing is fantastic. So let’s share their good deeds with each other and give someone a virtual pat on the back from everyone linked with Guiseley AFC.

You can send your nominations in through via Facebook and Twitter or by email to trudi.miller@guiseleyafc.co.uk, just tell us why they are your local hero and send us a photo.

Full time photographer Rob has switched professions to work for Morrisons as a delivery driver providing a vital lifeline to the local community when they need it most.

Rob had more free time on his hands following a lack of work in his normal day job and speaking of the move to delivering people’s shopping to their door he said “It’s good to be able to help out and get food out to people who can’t necessarily get out and go to the supermarket.”

“I’ve had a few customers who haven’t even seen another person for 2 months so it’s nice to be able to chat with them too.”

We would like to thank Rob for supporting the local community and hope to see him back behind the camera at Nethermoor soon.

Don’t forget to like his Facebook page, follow him on Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date with his photography when football resumes.
