We are continuing to praise those who are working hard throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, two of our supporters Phil and Fiona Wellman are making a difference in the community.
Phil works for Edward Johnson’s as a Body and Paint Technician on Newall Carr Road in Otley. They remained open throughout the lockdown and Phil continued his role fixing cars for the customers.
The customers included those key workers working at Otley Hospital, this has helped them remain on the road and be able to get to and from work to help care for those needing medical assistance.
Fiona Wellman works for Ghyll Royd Nursing Home in Guiseley where she is a carer.
The residents in nursing and care homes all around the world have not been able to have family members visit them during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is where the role carers play in looking after their family members becomes even more important to those unable to visit.
Phil and Fiona were nominated by their son Harrison who is also a keen Guiseley AFC supporter, thank you for all your continued hard work Phil and Fiona!
We all know someone who at this moment of time is quietly going about their business, but what they are doing is fantastic. So let’s share their good deeds with each other and give someone a virtual pat on the back from everyone linked with Guiseley AFC.
You can send your nominations in through via Facebook and Twitter or by email to trudi.miller@guiseleyafc.co.uk, just tell us why they are your local hero and send us a photo.
