Lions Local Heroes: Martyn Holderness

Our Lions Local Hero list has another addition in Martyn Holderness as The Lions supporter was nominated following his hard work through the Covid-19 pandemic.

Martyn has been busy supporting the online shopping boom through his work for Hermes in delivering parcels and packages to customers.

The Lions fan works in the Pateley Bridge area six days a week and didn’t have a single day off throughout lockdown, working long hours each day to ensure everyone received their deliveries in time.

He has played a vital role in supporting the community and we are delighted to add him to our list of Lions Local Heroes.

One of Martyn’s customers even made him a keyworker teddy which can be seen below!

We all know someone who at this moment of time is quietly going about their business, but what they are doing is fantastic. So let’s share their good deeds with each other and give someone a virtual pat on the back from everyone linked with Guiseley AFC.

You can send your nominations in through via Facebook and Twitter or by email to trudi.miller@guiseleyafc.co.uk, just tell us why they are your local hero and send us a photo.
