Lions host Seagulls

Guiseley host Colwyn Bay this Tuesday in the Vanarama North with a 7.45 kick-off.

They go into this match on the back of an impressive 3-0 win away from home against Brackley Town, Adam Boyes, Jake Lawlor and Oli Johnson scoring the goals.

The Lions will be aiming to get back to winning ways at Nethermoor after losing to Gainsborough Trinity and Gloucester City in their last two home matches.

After seven league games, Guiseley lie in equal fifth place (with North Ferriby United) in the fledgling Conference North table, the final play-off position.

Last season they gained all three points in this game at Nethermoor, Adam Boyes and Gavin Rothery getting on the scoresheet in a 2-1 victory.

Guiseley Manager Mark Bower knows it will be another stiff challenge for The Lions, saying, “It is another difficult game and it is always tough against Colwyn Bay – after the last two defeats at home there is a bit of pressure on us, but hopefully that will bring the best out of our players and we will continue to create chances.”

Colwyn Bay will enter the game full of confidence after winning their last two matches, against Leamington and Gainsborough Trinity. They are currently in eighth position, but would go above Guiseley if they were to win by two or more goals.
