We are delighted to announce that Harrison Hopper has signed a new deal with the club for the 2026/27 campaign.
The central midfielder, who arrived from Warrington Rylands in the summer, has committed to the Lions for his second season.
Hopper, who boss Ian Richards revealed was under consideration for the Manager’s Player of the Season Award, made 40 appearances in his first campaign with the club.
Harrison only missed one game since September and has featured under all but one of Ian Richards’ team selections as manager.
Hopper’s career started out with Leeds United where he played in the academy alongside Lucas Odunston from U9s – U14s before the midfielder made the move to Barnsley Academy.
The 25 year-old then moved to Rochdale and then signed for York City. At York Hopper caught the attention of Mark Bower who signed him for Bradford (Park Avenue) where he spent two seasons before moving to Gorsey Lane and Warrington Rylands.
When Hopper became available Bower reunited with the midfielder at Nethermoor and has been one of the first names on the teamsheet across the entire campaign.
More player retentions ahead of the 2026/27 season will follow in the coming days.
