Lions fate is in their own hands

For the second season in succession the Lions quest to retain their National League status will go down to the wire following today’s 1-1 draw at Bromley at Hayes Lane where Jordan Preston’s 50th minute goal cancelled out Barry Goldberg’s fourth minute opener.

The Lions now sit perilously close to the relegation places and are one of four clubs that go into next weekend’s final games separated by just three points with the only certainty being that two of the four will be relegated.

And although the Lions fate is in their own hands only a win against Solihull Moors at Nethermoor next Saturday (ko 12:15) will definitely  ensure survival.
