Lions Duo Head Out On Loan

We can confirm that midfielders Ethan Cartwright and Lewis Hey have signed loan deals to bolster their playing time.

21 year-old central midfielder Ethan Cartwright has returned to former club Irlam for a temporary switch until 3rd January 2023.

Ethan scored Irlam’s third goal in their 3-0 win over Congleton Town on Tuesday night at their Silver Street home.

They compete in the North West Counties Premier Division and are currently scheduled to play 14 league games during his move there.

In the league is former Lions opponents Vauxhall Motors, Kendal Town and Burscough.

Meanwhile Lewis Hey has also sealed a loan move out to Tadcaster Albion until 29th October 2022.

Hey came through the academy and made his debut in the 2020/21 season before featuring several times over the next campaign, including starting the Emirates FA Cup first round trip to AFC Wimbledon last season.

It is the 19 year-old’s first loan move out since graduating from the Young Lions set up and the midfielder will compete in the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division.

The Brewers have five league fixtures scheduled as their new management team of Craig Ogilvie and Neil Sibson try to haul the side away from the drop zone.
