The Lions delivered a clinical performance to put three goals without reply past big-spending AFC Fylde, who have aspirations of winning the Evo-Stik Premier after clinching the North Division title last season.
The Coasters got a taste of what a step up in leagues would entail when Danny Boshell played in James Walshaw, who laid the ball off for Josh Wilson to open his Guiseley account with a clinical finish after just six minutes.
With little from the home side to worry Steve Drench, it was left to centre back Mark Bower to power home a header off the underside of the crossbar from a right wing corner four minutes before the break.
With the usual flurry of changes taking place in the second period Fylde created a couple of half chances, but it was Guiseley who settled the game with five minutes left as Andy McWilliams found himself free down the left channel just inside the area to deliver a left-foot shot that took deflections off two defenders before the ball nestled in the back of the net.
