We are delighted to announce the signing of Kareem Hassan-Smith on loan from Barnsley.
The 20 year-old full back has been with the Tykes since 2017 and has progressed through their academy before signing a professional contract in June 2021.
Kareem is an energetic full back and played a part in Barnsley’s first team during the pre-season fixtures ahead of the current campaign.
The right back also had a spell in Huddersfield Town’s youth set up before moving to South Yorkshire.
Hassan-Smith’s loan with the club runs until 23rd February 2023.
Welcome to Guiseley Kareem!
We can also confirm the signing of Sam Nicholson who has immediately joined Thackley on a dual-registration deal.
Nicholson played the second half of Tuesday night’s friendly win at Dennyfield in the centre of defence and is a product of Barnsley’s academy.
He spent 11 years with the club before leaving at the end of the 2020/21 campaign and spending the past couple of years in America.
The 20 year-old has been described by Barnsley as being “fierce in the tackle and comfortable in possession.”
At just 15 he made is U23s debut for the club at Oakwell in a 2-0 win over Bristol City.
Welcome to Guiseley Sam!
Kareem and Sam’s home, away and training kits are all available to sponsor.
