We are delighted to announce the signing of Sam Aston on loan from Sheffield United for a month.

Sam is a talented 19 year-old midfielder who has worked his way though the ranks at Bramall Lane to play for the Blades’ U21 side.

Sheffield United U21s currently sit top of the Premier League Professional Development League with 28 points from 11 games.

Aston has struck one goal this season for the U21s and played a key role in them winning the national title in the 2023/24 season scoring in both the semi-final and final as they lifted silverware for the first time since the competition began in the 2012/13 campaign.

He signed his first professional contract in June 2024 before signing an extension in April.

Sam has signed in time to feature in tomorrow’s clash with Hednesford Town at Nethermoor.
