The Lions tasted defeat on their Vanarama National League bow at Welling United on Saturday going down 1-0 at Park View Road.

Mark Bower’s side had a host of chances throughout – Tom Craddock hitting the bar on his debut – but it was Sahr Kabba who proved the matchwinner.

His first-half strike settled the contest, leaving the Lions to focus on picking up their first points of the campaign at home to Altrincham on Tuesday.
