Lions beaten at Bromley

Guiseley fell to a 2-0 defeat at Bromley on Saturday as two second-half goals from Bradley Goldberg did the damage at Hayes Lane.

The Lions, fresh from a creditable display in their midweek draw with Tranmere Rovers, struggled to fashion chances in the first half as the sides went in goalless at the break.

Will Hatfield struck the crossbar shortly after the interval while Dan Atkinson was required to keep out a Lee Minshull effort before Goldberg opened the scoring with 20 minutes remaining.

Having headed in the opener, Goldberg doubled his side’s lead with a fine curled strike late on, leaving Mark Bower frustrated at his side’s struggle for consistency.
