Guiseley started strongly, with early chances falling to Sophie Fowler and Demi Pringle. Freja Evans also tested the goalkeeper, but the breakthrough came in the 11th minute when Keegan Lambert latched onto a Jade Foster pass, turned smartly, and drilled the ball into the bottom corner for 0–1.
Two minutes later, Lambert turned provider, setting up Pringle to double the lead with a composed finish. The home side had brief respite with a free kick on 18 minutes, but Guiseley kept pressing.
Fowler struck the post on 23 minutes, and more chances followed before Pringle netted her second in the 30th minute after good work from Alishba Khan.
Lower Hopton had a rare attempt late in the half, comfortably saved by Eliza Marjoram, before Khan was replaced by Jess Bretherick. Guiseley went into the break leading 0–3.
