The Guiseley revival continues as a stubborn Barrow side succumbed to goals from Alex Johnson and Louie Swain, which cancelled out Sam Sheridan’s opener.
The victory was no more than the Lions deserved having struck the opposition woodwork on four occasions, although home custodian Steven Drench made two crucial second-half stops.
Gareth Arnison had an early chance but shot straight at Drench and visiting keeper Tony McMillan was relieved that Johnson’s charge-down of his clearance was off target.
Sheridan gave his side the lead on 21 minutes with a sweetly-struck free kick round the wall and into the bottom corner from twenty yards out.
Stung by this setback the home side responded with Johnsons back header bouncing off the bar and Danny Forrest’s thirty-yarder fizzing inches over.
When a sweeping move between Johnson, Forrest and Brooksby brought no reward it looked as though the visitors would go in ahead at the break but they reckoned without Forrest getting his head to a cross at the far post at the death, although his goal-bound header was helped in by Johnson.
Strikes from Wayne Brooksby and Craig Hobson hit the woodwork before Drench pulled off two crucial stops from Marcus Carver and Paddy Lacey.
But when he launched a final punt downfield, Hobson threaded it through for Swain to draw McMillan before slotting past him for the winner.
